The New York State Homes and Community Renewal Office of Community Renewal has announced that the city of Oswego has been awarded a $400,000 grant from the Affordable Housing Corporation.
The city will receive the maximum amount available to a small city to rehabilitate 18 units of existing housing in Oswego.
George G. Weldin, 85, of Oswego died Monday June 23, 2014, in Seneca Hill Manor, Volney, NY.
Joseph Sabatini, 92, a resident of San Diego, Calif., passed away Monday June 23, 2014, at Oswego Hospital after a short illness.

Fizz! Boom! Read! a science-based theme, is the overall theme for Oswego Bookmobile’s 2014 summer program. Each week of the summer from July 7 to August 22 has its own theme as well. The bookmobile has scheduled events throughout the summer to promote reading to children. At every site, the bookmobile will provide children under the age of 18 with a snack and a free book.
