Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General, announces the recent reenlistment of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.
A free workshop called Photoshop Elements for Artists will be offered at the Oswego Public Library on July 12 from noon to 3 p.m. The workshop will be led by artist and teacher Bill DeMott in the Library Learning Center.
The annual Oswego Town Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the Oswego Town Historical Society, will be held July 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Oswego Town Park next to the Town Hall, 2320 County Route 7 (Johnson Road).
The following local students will attend Clarkson University in Potsdam and begin studying in the fall 2014 semester.
Air Force Airman Allen C. Buscemi graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
After a lengthy investigation conducted by the Oswego County Drug Task Force and the city of Fulton Police Department, Jason Wayne Knopp (a/k/a John Slaughta), was arrested on Monday (June 23), on a sealed indictment warrant issued by Oswego County Court. The indictment charges Knopp with three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony.
The Friends of History at Pratt House in Fulton is pleased to announce the 2014 History Award, Anthony Semeraro. Anthony is a graduating senior from G. Ray Bodley High School.
The school was transformed into an art gallery for the occasion, with festival-goers enjoying self-guided tours of the many collections of artwork from students in pre-kindergarten through grade six.
Kenny Holbrook of Fulton, New York won the Pathfinder Bank Great Rates/Great New York Yankee Moments contest held recently at their branch offices.
