UPDATE: The city of Fulton Police Department has charged an 18-year police veteran with assault and records falsification after receiving a complaint from a man alleging he was punched in the head while handcuffed and in police custody. In his statement the man allegedly said, “‘Are you serious? Are you going to beat my a** with handcuffs behind my back?’ Sgt. Arigo then punched me with his left fist and split open my temple.”
Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd announced that 19 children from the county are attending the New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute’s 2014 Summer Camp. The Sheriffs’ Summer Camp is designed to provide a solid recreational program combined with the development of a sense of good citizenship.

The Oswego Valley Railroad Museum, located on the corner of West First and Lake streets, near the harbor, is open to the public from noon – 5 p.m. every weekend until Labor Day PLUS some special weekends. July 12, 13 and 19, 20, the Oswego Railroad Museum will be featuring, by popular demand, a return of the American Freedom Train exhibit.
Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center recently enjoyed an outing to Mr. Mike’s in Fulton for a leisurely lunch as they enjoyed the waterfront view of Lake Neatahwanta. The outing was one of the many that Morningstar offers to its residents.
