New York State Conservation Council President to Speak August 16 at Sportsmen’s Show
Chuck Parker, an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and president of the New York State Conservation Council, will speak about the Council and its activities on August 16 at 11 a.m. at the 2014 Clayton-1000 Islands Gun and Sportsmen Show in Clayton.
Ohio’s Shullick Jr. to Contend for Oswego Speedway’s ‘Mr. Supermodified’ Title
Announced on Monday, ISMA Supermodified ‘King of Wings’ champion Dave Shullick Jr., will return to non-wing Novelis Supermodified action Saturday night at Oswego Speedway to contend for the title of ‘Mr. Supermodified’ and $10,000 in John Nicotra’s No. 6 machine.

Welcome Back To Fulton
Fulton Noon Rotary Club president Lori Greeney had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Jeannette d’Angles de Escobedo from Peru at a recent meeting. Dr. Escobedo and her husband, Dr. Edison Escobedo, stopped in Fulton on their way home from a medical conference in Toronto. Dr. Jeannette lived in Fulton with the Ruta family, for a year, as a Rotary Exchange student, 45 years ago.
Historical $10,000 Mr. Supermodified Ignites Summer Stretch at Oswego
Oswego Speedway’s summer stretch run toward Budweiser International Classic Weekend begins Saturday night at the ‘Steel Palace’ with the 28th edition of the $10,000 to win Mr. Novelis Supermodified special presented by Davis Bros. Inc. of Oswego. The 27-year history of the Mr. Supermodified event has provided memorable moments and decorated champions.

Olde Home Day Slated In Parish
On August 9 the Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor Parish Olde Home Day at the Four Corners, Main Street (Route 69) and Railroad Street. Festivities will start at 9 a.m. and will run until 3 p.m. Music will be by the Salmon River Boys.
