The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a free introductory computer course: Photoshop Elements workshop on October 18 from 1 – 3 p.m.
With the help of Fajita Grill, the Oswego County Board of Realtors had a successful fundraiser Sept. 15 benefting its county-wide high school scholarship program. Through the OCBR, local Realtors have donated more than $40,000 in scholarship funds to college-bound students.
Former patients of Oswego County Hospice will be remembered at the annual Hospice memorial service at 2 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48. The public is invited to attend.
The three grant programs include Individual Artist Commissions, Community Arts Grants, and ArtStart Arts Education Grants that serve Cortland, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, or Oswego county residents.
The Common Council voted Monday night to revoke Brookfield Renewable Energy’s authority to police a certain area of the Oswego River near the Varick Dam. At Monday night’s council meeting, Mayor Tom Gillen was authorized, on behalf of the city, to notify Erie in writing of the city’s intent to end the agreement in 30 days. According to the council, Erie has consistently taken actions against fishermen in the Oswego River that exceeded the authority granted in the enforcement authorization agreement.
The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the subject involved in the fatal MVA in the town of Mexico on Saturday night as 44-year-old Robert J. Potts Jr. of George Road in the town of Mexico.

Karl F. Reynolds, 77, a resident of Fulton, passed away Tuesday September 23, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.
