Lady Lakers Tame Bears

With less than a minute left in double overtime, the Oswego State women’s soccer team completed a comeback as senior captain Georgia Traynor sent a corner kick in for a score at 109:03 to push the Lakers past the Bears, 3-2. The victory gives the squad a 2-0-1 record in conference action and a 5-4-1 mark on the year while Potsdam goes to 0-2-0, 4-4-1.

John and I have been to Bangkok many times. It is a great destination but also a connecting city to other destinations in Asia. There is no city quite like Bangkok. We have several favorite things to see and do. The Temple of Dawn, Wat (Thai for temple) Arum is located on the “other side” of the river so it is not always on a typical tour as it is located across the Chao Phraya River from most of the favorite tourist destinations.

The Senegal St. Joseph Choir will perform as part of SUNY Oswego's Artswego Performing Arts Series at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church on West Seventh Street in Oswego. The choir embraces diversity as its performers "affirm our common humanity through music," said John Shaffer, the college's director of arts programming.

Senegalese choir to bring message of humanity to Oswego in song

The Senegal St. Joseph Choir will offer an evening of life-affirming global music at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 103 W. 7th St. in Oswego, as part of SUNY Oswego’s Artswego Performing Arts Series. The concert, one of six 2014-15 programs presented in alternate campus and community locations during the renovation of Tyler Hall, will feature a repertoire ranging from familiar spirituals to traditional African songs.
