Sandra Scott Travels: Walk Along The Historic Underground Railroad
There were several reasons John and I wanted to visit Niagara Falls USA. First of all, we wanted to see Johnny Mathis at the Seneca Niagara Casino. When people hear the word “casino” they think of gambling and rightly so. But, there is so much more to today’s casinos. The other reason we wanted to visit the Falls area was to visit Niagara University and the Castellani Art Museum to check out its Underground Railroad display called “Freedom Crossing.”

Firefighter Injured In Liberty Street Blaze
At 11:25 a.m. today (November 7), the Oswego Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 126 Liberty St. Two occupants of the residence escaped on their own and were evaluated at the scene. One firefighter suffered a lower extremity injury and was transported to Oswego Hospital. The home suffered extensive damage throughout.

Funding from the Environmental Protection Fund under the authority of the New York Ocean and Great Lakes Ecosystem Conservation makes the three-year position available to provide community leaders, civic groups, and property and business owners with technical resources related to coastal erosion and hazards, including the impact of climate change and how to mitigate coastal flooding damage.
Buccaneer Players Shine in John Arcaro Senior All-Star Football Game
The Oswego Varsity Buccaneer football team was well-represented at the John Arcaro Senior All-Star game Thursday night in Watertown. Buccaneer highlights were Voorhis returning a punt for a touchdown, Sheridan throwing a touchdown pass, Nazaraliev kicking an extra point, along with steady and hard play from all the Oswego participants.
