Area Students Graduate From Paul Smith’s College
The following students graduated from Paul Smith’s College on Dec. 31, 2014.
The 10th annual Oswego Speedway Old-Timers Reunion will move to a new weekend in 2015, pairing fittingly with the Speedway’s 65th anniversary celebration to take place on August 8 featuring race day admission of only $5 for fans to help celebrate the storied history of the ‘Steel Palace.’
For those in need of human services, help is only three numbers away. United Way of Greater Oswego County in collaboration with the state of New York, United Ways of Central and Northern New York, and Contact Community Services have brought the 2-1-1 System to Oswego County.
Dialing 2-1-1 will connect callers with the information and answers they need regarding the availability of health and human services in Oswego County and the proper way to access them.
Assemblyman Will Barclay encourages Central and Northern New York college students to participate in the New York Business Plan Competition. The Central New York deadline to apply is March 6. The Northern New York deadline is March 29. Students can submit their business plan with the chance to win a $100,000 grand prize.

The bicentennial commemoration continues with the fifth installment of the seminar which explores the events that earned respect for the U.S. from around the world.
State Senator Patty Ritchie is now accepting nominations for the New York State Senate’s “Women of Distinction” program; a special initiative aimed at honoring women’s history in the Empire State by recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding leaders from the present.
