Sandra Scott Travels: Enjoy Touring The Sanctuary of Truth

There are many things to do in the area including elephant rides and shopping but we opted to visit The Sanctuary of Truth, which we could see off in the distance from our balcony. Had we known we would have planned to spend several hours there because there was a lot to do. The elaborately carved wooden structure was built in 1981 but has the look of an ancient temple. The temple carvings showed the relationship between humans and the universe.

Lakers Bounce No. 2 Seed To Advance To SemiFinals

The third-seeded Oswego State men’s basketball team knocked off No. 2 Geneseo 72-61 in a SUNYAC Championship semifinal game at Plattsburgh on Friday evening. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 18-9 on the year and will play the winner of Friday night’s Plattsburgh and Brockport matchup at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the SUNYAC Championship title game.

Exhibition To Feature Works Of Students New To College’s Art Programs

An exhibition titled “Transitions” from March 13 to April 11 at Oswego State Downtown will showcase artwork created by students who have recently transferred into SUNY Oswego’s art disciplines. A free public reception for the artists will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. March 27, at the branch of the College Store and Tyler Art Gallery at West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.

On behalf of the hundreds of children and their families that we serve at the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County I would like to thank those caring businesses and individuals who helped to make our fourth annual Chicken Wing Fest such a success! The event raised more than $22,000 to help support our efforts to provide vital services to children who have been sexually or physically abused, neglected or maltreated.
