To The Editor:
On behalf of the hundreds of children and their families that we serve at the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County I would like to thank those caring businesses and individuals who helped to make our fourth annual Chicken Wing Fest such a success!
The event raised more than $22,000 to help support our efforts to provide vital services to children who have been sexually or physically abused, neglected or maltreated.
The success that we enjoyed would not be possible if not for the support we received from the community members that attended the event, our board of directors, the planning committee and our event sponsors, including: Nelson Law Firm, Elizabeth and Harvey Fadden, Gregory and Karen Oakes, MetLife, The Park Family, Cre8 Solutions, Big John Sales, Purina Vyavaharkar Pediatric Practice, Dynegy, Lake Ontario Photo Booth, Pathfinder Bank, Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Mitchell’s Speedway Press, Mimi’s Drive-In, Fulton Savings Bank, Joe Bush’s Collision Center, Lakeside Dentistry, Donna T. Eagle Beverage for providing brews, ciders and wines; and of course, Greene’s Ale House; Canale’s Restaurant; The Press Box; Jimmie James BBQ, Oswego Ancient Order of Hibernians; Kristen’s Kitchen at Battle Island, G & S Steamer’s, Garafolo’s Importing, The Red Sun Fire Roasting Co., Alex’s On The Water, and The Office Tavern for providing a delicious assortment of chicken wings.
It takes tremendous courage for children and their families to speak up about unimaginable things that happen to them most often by people they like, live with, or love.
An event such as this not only raises much needed funds to allow services to continue, it also sends a message to the children that there are a lot of good people in the community who are here to help.
Together we can help ‘Be The End’ to child abuse in Oswego County.
Thank you again for the overwhelming community support we received and thank you for recognizing the Child Advocacy Center and the work that we do to help child abuse victims in Oswego County.
