Claudia J. Ferlito, 68, of Fulton, NY, passed away on Monday March 16, 2015, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.
First graders at Lura M. Sharp Elementary School received a lesson in geography, generosity, culture and compassion during a recent performance by the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Students were delighted throughout “The Golden Goose” performance, which transported them to a German village and offered them moral lessons throughout the journey.
While they all couldn’t be winners, students from the Hannibal Central School District displayed great comradery during a recent Battle of the Books competition, showcasing the attributes the contest attempts to instill in its participants.
Mayor Thomas W. Gillen announced the suspension of the alternate side winter parking restrictions, effective Wednesday (March 18), at 12:01 a.m. In accordance with the Oswego City Code, section 257-27, the Mayor may suspend or remove the winter parking ban prior to March 31 at his discretion if winter conditions permit. Residents are asked to be aware of our unpredictable weather and to minimize parking on our streets in the event of any future snowfall.
