Early Saturday (May 30), at approximately 1:20 a.m., residents were awakened when their home at 2051 County Route 176 was struck by a Chevy Silverado. “The vehicle stopped literally within seven feet of my stepfather who was sleeping on the couch in the living room,” said Jeremick Dunham, former resident of the house. The house is now occupied by his mother, stepfather and sister.
At a joint press conference this morning, June 2, District Attorney Greg Oakes was joined by members of the New York State Police to announce the results of a large investigation into the sale of illegal drugs. The drugs were allegedly being sold, many in plain sight, at the annual Sterling Stage FolkFest Music Festival, the DA said. The drugs are valued at “tens of thousands” of dollar; some individual types of drugs were estimated to be worth $10,000 to $15,000, according to State Police.
Hard work, commitment, character and academic success were in focus recently as 140 Oswego County students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. The honorees, all Career and Technical Education students at CiTi, achieved high marks in the classroom and exhibited tremendous character to meet the eligibility requirements for membership.
