Children All Set for Debut ‘Wonderland’ at Harborfest

The eighth annual Harborfest musical, Wonderland, will be presented by area students, under the direction of Bobbie Palange and Rocky Farden. The musical is based on Lewis Carroll’s classic story, Through the Looking Glass, script by James DeVita, music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur. Wonderland is produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service. Thirty-five young people from Hannibal, Mexico, Fulton and Oswego fill out the cast of strange and wonderful characters.

Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Arrest

On Monday (July 20), at approximately 1:22 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Oswego City Police Department executed a search warrant for the person of Anthony G. Raymond, 29, as he operated a vehicle northbound on State Route 481 just north of County Route 57 in the city of Oswego. He was arrested and criminally charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Rossi Sentenced In Apollo Abuse Case

Deena Rossi, 40, of Mexico, was sentenced in New Haven Town Court after previously pleading guilty “as charged” to two counts of Torturing or Injuring an Animal / Failure to Provide Sustenance, a Class A Misdemeanor. Hon. Dale Little, sentenced Rossi to 6 months of intermittent incarceration, fined her $400, and ordered her to perform 150 hours of community service. Additionally, the court ordered her to pay $914 in restitution for medical bills and costs associated with Apollo’s care following his rescue.
