On Oct. 15, World Hospice Day, two local civic-minded motorcycle clubs, the Oswego County Comets, RC and Oswego County Station 1438 Fire & Iron, MC, met at the New Haven Fire Department with representatives of the Friends of Oswego County Hospice to present to them checks totaling more than $3,000.

The county’s support of the One Stop Center has paid dividends as the site will continue to assist job seekers. At this month’s legislature meeting, Oswego County Legislator James Karasek said, “It’s important for us in the county, with the unemployment rate that we have, that we provide the proper services to help people try to find a job.” The center will host an open house.
On October 16, at approximately 7:45 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force executed methamphetamine related search warrants on both a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, as it traveled on State Route 104 in the town of New Haven, as well as a residence located at 362 State Route 104B in the town of Mexico.

Henry “Hank” N. Richards, 84, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday October 19, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.
