After November, when you see signs that advertise “Get Your Flu Vaccine Here,” you might think, “Isn’t it too late for that?” However, health officials advise that as long as flu viruses are spreading, it’s not too late to get a vaccine to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Just received my copy of the Tentative County 2016 Budget on Tuesday Nov. 23. Well, low and behold taxes for a city of Fulton taxpayer are up again. I will not be voting in favor of this budget as it stands. Just a few things that make my stomach turn are these: $1,000 a piece per chair -total of 12 chairs, $100 a chair for a training center – total of 24 chairs, $1,000 debit cards for all legislators (I refuse mine each year).
Giving people can be found all around us, and especially during the holidays when many organizations pair their campaigns to raise awareness about the needs around us with the holiday season. Many rise to the call for help throughout our region and band together to make sure those around us have a happy holiday season.

Fulton Community Theatre will hold open auditions for the first production of its 2016 season, “The Mating Game,” a comedy of sex or consequences by Robin Hawdon. Auditions will be held on December 7 and 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. each day at the home of the production’s director, Michael A. Bolio, 692 Maple Ave.
Sullivan is your typical tabby-boy youngster, super friendly with a great personality. He likes to ride around on his foster mom’s shoulder. He gets along with the other cats and dogs in his foster home. But, mostly he wants to hang out with his people.
Retired Oswego Hospital Obstetrician/Gynecologist Ronald Uva, MD, who provided healthcare to area women for more than 30 years, was recently presented the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, District II 2015 Life Time Achievement Award.
