Salvation Army will have 24-Hour Bell Ringing Marathon
The Salvation Army Worship and Community Centers in Oswego County and Watertown are concerned about this potential heavy snowfall since this weekend is traditionally the largest Red Kettle collection weekend. Oswego County Salvation Army is holding an on-line fund raising event through social media. The Watertown Salvation Army is undertaking a 24-hour marathon bell ringing event at the Walmart on Arsenal Street in Watertown.

Michael A. Maroun Elementary School students made sure 150 senior citizens throughout Oswego County have an emergency food supply – when their Meals on Wheels food cannot be delivered due to inclement winter weather.
Semi-Annual Library Technology Awards Given to Fairgrieve Students
One student from each classroom at Fairgrieve Elementary School received the semi-annual Library Technology Award during a Dec. 15 Morning Express program. Librarian Barb Senecal recognized 22 students who have shown excellent effort, positive attitude and respect for others in the library and computer lab.

Annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Welcomes 900 Students
West Chester University will host 900 students and faculty from colleges and universities in New York (including SUNY Oswego), Pennsylvania, and Maryland at the Region Two festival of the 48th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival on January 12–16. This is the second of eight consecutive weekly celebrations of excellence and achievement of theater in higher education.
