New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies. The first rabies vaccine should be given at three months of age.

Grange Elects New Officers
On July 20, the members of Sandy Creek Grange No. 127, met to elect a slate of officers for 2015-2016.
The meeting was held at the Grange’s facility at the Oswego County Fair grounds. A covered dish dinner was enjoyed by the membership.

As the countdown begins toward Budweiser International Classic Week at Oswego Speedway, the month of August at the ‘Steel Palace’ will provide four consecutive weeks of fast paced entertainment. The month kicks off on August 1 with the 29th annual $10,000 to win Mr. Novelis Supermodified title event, won last season by 2015 Summer Champion, Dave Danzer.

Oswego Police Seek Byrne Dairy Robbery Suspect
At about 1:40 a.m. today (July 22), the Oswego Police Department responded to the west side Byrne Dairy for a robbery complaint. It was reported that a man entered Byrne Dairy and displayed a note to the clerk demanding cash. No one was injured during the robbery, but the man did make off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Oswego County natives and long-time National Anthem singers Chuck and Betsy Copps are in the running to take their star-spangled duet to the New York State Fair this year. “We have entered the New York State Fair’s ‘Star Spangled Challenge’ contest,” Chuck said.
