Oswego Police, Fire Departments Rescue Special Olympics Fundraiser

The coldest winter in more than 100 years has left the Oswego Harbor locked in with more than four feet of packed snow and ice – making it impossible for participants to safely enter the water for this weekend’s third Oswego Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. Lt. Charlie Searor from the Oswego Police Department and Assistant Chief John Chawgo from the Oswego Fire Department immediately jumped into action on Monday to save the plunge.
