Oswego Speedway and Pole Position Raceway announced this week the addition of the “Pole Position Raceway Firing Point,” and the “Pole Position Raceway Finish Line” to their 2016 partnership at the Home of the Supermodifieds.
SUNY Oswego has moved to enhance the experience of hearing-impaired spectators at ceremonies, performances and athletic events, installing audio-induction loops at several key locations. Members of the Crown 30+ Skate League, in partnership with the Oswego YMCA, have launched a pilot program for youth under the age of 12. Two local fathers and volunteers for the Oswego YMCA, Eric Bresee and Bob Ruggio started by bringing their own sons down to the park to skate and then inviting their friends. Interest escalated quickly, growing to 15 youth participants between the ages of 6 and 11 by the tenth week.

He coined the phrase “Banana Republic.” The book was written in 1904 but not much has changed in Trujillo. Trujillo has a fascinating history.
Mayor Billy Barlow announces that on February 16 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, a kick-off presentation will be held regarding the city’s Route 104 Streetscape Revitalization Project. Bergmann Associates, the project consultant, will be giving the presentation, and providing a project overview and visual illustration of how the plan might positively impact the aesthetics of the city’s main street.
The Oswego State men’s basketball stormed back from a one-point halftime deficit to an 80-69 victory over host Potsdam on Friday night. Oswego’s triumph extends its winning streak to four, improving its record to 16-6 overall and 9-6 in the SUNYAC.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team never trailed and withstood a comeback effort en route to a 62-55 victory at Potsdam on Friday evening. Oswego improves to 4-18 overall and 2-13 in the SUNYAC. A pair of double-doubles paced the Lakers on the night.
