NYS Police Announce STOP DWI Crackdown For St. Patrick’s Day
The New York State Police and local law enforcement will initiate special traffic enforcement efforts as St. Patrick’s Day celebrations get under way starting this weekend. The effort will begin on Saturday, March 12, 2016 and run through Thursday, March 17. Drivers can expect a number of sobriety checkpoints
Fulton Police Locate 13-Year-Old Boy
UPDATE: Reported missing child, Gavin Brown, was found walking on State Route 3 in the Town of Volney.
On Thursday (March 10), about 7 p.m. a 13-year-old boy, named Gavin T. Brown, left his residence.
Fulton Parking Ban Lifted
Due to the unseasonably warm weather, the city of Fulton overnight parking ban has been lifted.
Fulton Students to Compete in Regional History Competition
As a project-based learning activity, 65 ninth grade and 10th grade honors humanities students created either an exhibit, documentary, research paper, website or a performance about the Kenneth E. Behring National History Day theme of “Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange in History.”

Catholic Charities Gives Back To Veterans
Veterans Club members from Cayuga Community College club adviser Jo Ann Harris, Allan Rouse, Sam Bass and Jan Baum pose with 40 iPhone 4S cell phones donated by Catholic Charities of Oswego County at their March 9 annual Chili Cook Off. The donated iPhones and chargers will be sent out to our veterans overseas.
Inaugural Friends of Oswego St. Patrick’s Day Parade Set Saturday
Cre8 Studios, with the support of the Oswego community, will host the first St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday in downtown Oswego starting at 1 p.m. The parade will begin along West First Street at West Schuyler Street, crossing Bridge Street and turning on to East First Street where it will conclude at the Lake Ontario Conference Center.
