Appeals Court Upholds City’s Ownership Of Cahill Building

The New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department, unanimously affirmed a lower court ruling that dismissed a legal claim by local developer Thomas Millar asserting his ownership of the historic Cahill Building. The appellate ruling means that the city of Oswego retains title to the property located along the Oswego River, Mayor Billy Barlow announced today (March 26).

On our recent visit to Ho Chi Minh City, John and I stayed at the ParkRoyal Hotel where staying at Orchid Club Level was well worth it. Orchid Club level included free transportation to/from the airport, breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and laundry for up to four garments per day. Our main reason for the stopover in Ho Chi Minh City, which many still call Saigon, was to revisit the Cao Dai Temple and Cu Chi Tunnels.

‘Smoke Free For My Baby and Me’ Program Marks Successful First Year

Nearly three-quarters of the women who participated in the “Smoke Free for My Baby and Me” program were able to quit smoking, the Oswego County County Health Department reported today (March 25). The project, which was implemented last May, is a partnership among several community agencies. Initial findings reveal a 73 percent success rate among participants to quit smoking.
