Nolan Swift Drive Dedication Set for May 21 at Oswego Speedway

Thanks to the help of several Nolan Swift and Oswego Speedway race fans, the section of the Albany Street hill between Jim Shampine Drive and City Line Road in front of Oswego Speedway will now be named Nolan Swift Drive, with a dedication ceremony set for May 21 at 3 p.m on the corner of Shampine and Swift Drive.

Adult Prom to Benefit Suicide Prevention in Oswego County

Cre8 Studios and Friends of Oswego are back at it again and this time they are helping to raise awareness for suicide prevention in Oswego County. Adult Prom, which will take place on April 16 at The American Foundry, will benefit Suicide Awareness Voices of Education Central New York. SAVE is a local non-profit that is dedicated to the prevention of suicide and is also a member of the National Council for Suicide Prevention.

Fulton Footpaths Plans Discussed

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian LaVerne DeLand introduced Marie Mankiewicz and Brittney Jerred who have been working to establish a cohesive plan, with community support, to link Fulton’s eight walking trails and 12 city parks. The Fulton Community Revitalization Corp, a non-profit, will be the lead agency for grants.
