Celeste M. (Wells) Vickery, 28, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2016.
One week after blowing an engine in his No. 22 Pathfinder Bank SBS machine, Mike Bruce and team worked until the very last minute Saturday morning installing a freshened Pat Morrison power plant, and then promptly drove it to Turning Stone Resort Casino Victory Lane at the Speedway as a part of Saturday’s Best Western PLUS/Quality Inn and Suites Fan Appreciation Night.

Oswego Speedway’s Road to the Championship continued on Saturday night with Liverpool driver Kody Graham snaring the lead from Joe Gosek on lap 14 to eventually pull away to his fifth career Novelis Supermodified victory at Oswego, and the first for an independent front end machine since 2007, on Best Western PLUS/Quality Inn and Suites Riverfront Fan Appreciation Night.
The fans were in the stands and a great field of cars filled the pits setting a stage for a great night of racing. Mother Nature had other ideas just after the first heat of the evening took the checkers. Despite using a set of tillers, packer trucks and the 30 SUNY Canton Sportsman who hit the track trying to run in the surface the moisture from the sky was just enough to end the night’s racing.

Parents of Special Children, Inc., will present its annual Jamboree Chicken BBQ fundraiser, on June 4, from noon until 3 p.m., at the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552. The family event will include a chicken barbecue, door prizes, raffles, a delicious bake sale and entertainment by SHOtime Music.
A recent graduate of SUNY Oswego, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in communications with a minor in business and has been serving an internship with United Way since September.
