Fire Prevention Tips Offered to Fairley Students
Volunteer firefighters Carl Emmons Jr., Jordan Patrick, Chris Miner, Richard brand and Carl Emmons III participated in the presentation, in which students learned about fire prevention and equipment and tools used to fight fires.
Fairley School Graduates 70 from Pre-K Program
Guests filled the Fairley Elementary School gymnasium for the celebration, which featured performances of “Rise and Shine,” “The Alphabet Song,” “The Hokey Pokey,” “Mother Gooney Bird,” and “Skinnamarinkydinkydink.”
Oswego Native Jonah Restuccio Wins College Television Award
Jonah Restuccio of Oswego, , received a College Television Award from the Television Academy Foundation for working on the Ithaca College Television show “Hold That Thought.” “Hold That Thought” is a sports debate show in the tradition of ESPN’s “Around the Horn.”

SUNY Buffalo State Announces Spring 2016 Dean’s List

Holy Education Center? Nope – Just a Rumor
Dr. Dean Goewey, Oswego City School District Superintendent, dispelled several rumors at this week’s board of education meeting – including one claiming the Education Center had been purchased by a church. The district is attempting to sell the building. However, Dr. Goewey said no school building will be closed and sold.
Fulton Public Library To Start Book Club
The first meeting will be held on July 12 at 6:30 p.m. The first selection for the book club will be The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick.
Dunham earns All Academic Team Honors from SUNYAC
To qualify for the All-Academic Team, a student must be varsity athlete who has completed the entire season and earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.3 for the semester in which they competed.
