Pollution. Overcrowding. Global Warming. Environmental deterioration is knocking at the door of millions of people world-wide. While many ignore the knock, high school students from around the world answer the call for change at the 2016 GENIUS Olympiad.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 920 students to the President’s List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the Spring 2016 semester.

Charrise Kidd accepted a Fulton Rotarian of the Year award from President Bridgette Seguin at a recent meeting of the noon club.

for retiring Superintendent of Schools William R. Lynch. The event is set for June 16, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Fulton Junior High School cafeteria, 129 Curtis St., Fulton.

Dean’s List status, which is awarded to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses, has been granted to Alyssa Wedge, of Fair Haven, in the spring 2016 semester.

The event will take place at Breitbeck Park, 41 Lake St., on the west side of Oswego where the beautiful Oswego River and Lake Ontario meet. Hours for the show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations serving Pulaski or the town of Richland. The grant application deadline is June 30.

Amanda Persse of Hastings was recently named to the President’s List for the Spring 2016 term at Hudson Valley Community College.
