Super modified race car driver Aric Iosue visited the Oswego Public Library’s Summer Reading Club and spoke to his young audience of the importance of reading if they wished to succeed in following their dreams. Children asked what it was like racing his car at the Oswego Speedway to which he replied, “Fast.”
For every hour that a volunteer worked, they were entered for a chance to win the bike. The winner this year was Robert Fisher. The winner of a blue razor scooter was Aiden Cornelius, for his participation in the Summer Fitness Challenge.

At the request of Friends of Great Bear, Andrew York, a Boy Scout from Troop 119, Baldwinsville, as his Eagle Scout Project, designed a foot bridge across the Great Bear Springs Stream at Great Bear Springs Recreational Area. Andrew secured donations for materials and organized the work party, made up from scout volunteers, family and Friends of Great Bear.
