The weekend draws guests to Fulton from all over including as far as Alaska to display, shoot and learn more about the historic Hunter Arms/L.C. Smith gun manufacturer that once thrived in the city.

Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Recent Arrests

On July 29, investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Phoenix Police Department, executed a search warrant at 104 State St., in Phoenix. On August 3, the task force, with the assistance of the NYS Police Special Operations Response Team and Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a methamphetamine related search warrant at 444 Chapman Road in Parish.

West Monroe Man Arrested Following Joint Federal Investigation

On August 8, State Police in Hastings arrested Richard S. Buffham, 48, of West Monroe, for (1) count of “Course of Sexual Conduct against a Child 1st degree,” a class “B” felony. Buffham was charged following a joint investigation with the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

The divisions first champion in 1992, Russ Brown had never won an SBS Classic heading into 1998 despite having moved on to become the Novelis Supermodified Rookie of the Year in 1994 as well as beginning to build a Busch Grand National North career. In 1997 Brown was the first driver across the line in the Classic event, but a tech infraction handed the win to Jeremy Unruh.

What They’re Saying About FitzPatrick Agreement

Today’s (Aug. 9) nuclear agreement will prevent imminent closure of the FitzPatrick plant. The plant’s continued operation will save approximately 600 jobs and maintain $500 million in annual economic activity. It also prevents three million tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually – the equivalent to keeping more than 600,000 cars off the road.
