The play, adapted by Christopher Sergel from the 1960s TV series by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, will run for three performances, October 28 and 29 on the stage of the Fulton Education Center, 167 S. Fourth St. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. on the 28th with two performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
As fall weather settles upon the area and the colors change, for many that means one thing: the opening of hunting season is here. Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow announced the city of Oswego has partnered with the Oswego County BOCES program to include the New Visions program in city government. The intern students will participate in police patrol ride-a-longs, code enforcement inspections and assist with economic development initiatives in the Community Development office.
Authorities are searching for four suspects in connection with the stabbing of an 18-year-old freshman earlier this morning on the SUNY Oswego campus. According to the college, the teen was assaulted and stabbed four times in the shoulder outside of the Shineman Center. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where he is expected to recover.
There’s a public hearing on Oct. 18 to discuss the raising of garbage rates in the city of Fulton. The rates purposed are to go from $51 a quarter to $63 a quarter. That means it will go from $204 a year to $252 a year. A sticker to use the county landfill will be only $185 a year. I agree with the fact that the rates have to be raised to cover the increased tipping fees imposed by the county.
About 500 people attend each year — the conference is open to all educators from kindergarten through college and to other professionals interested in the latest developments in technology education. Educators who attend the conference will be eligible to earn up to 12 professional development hours.
The Kinlough Academy of Irish Dance will hold a chicken barbeque at Fulton’s Bullhead Point Pavilion, Route 3 West, Fulton on November 6. The hours will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
