Pulaski To Celebrate Christmas Season
The Pulaski Historical Society will celebrate the Christmas season by participating in “Light up Pulaski” on Dec. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will come and sit in front of the Christmas tree while they meet with the children.
College Opens Pantry To Help Students In Need
SUNY Oswego recently opened a pantry with food, toiletries and winter clothing to meet a need among college students who sometimes lack these necessities. The Students Helping Oz Peers project — or S.H.O.P. for short — opened its pantry in October and is open from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, and noon to 3 p.m. on Fridays in Room 3 in Penfield Library’s basement.
Cookie Convention Returns In January
It’s back and it’s bigger and better than ever. The Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways is holding its second annual Cookie Convention! Girl Scouts, volunteers, and parents will be able to help us kick off the 2017 cookie program.

I have read many articles about the health benefits and uses of coconut milk and oil. It is touted as being a lactose-free, vegan milk substitute that can be used in a variety of ways including as a dairy substitute used in coffee, ice cream, smoothies and in variety of recipes including many Thai curry dishes. John and I have enjoyed many curry dishes and breads in several countries that are made with coconut milk. Coconuts are rich in vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 plus minerals including iron, selenium, sodium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorous. Coconut oil is versatile.

Fulton Council Acts on Pair of Public Hearings
The Fulton Common Council recently heard public input, though minimal, on two separate resolutions. One was in regards to the budget process. The other dealt with parking/storing recreational vehicles.
