Fulton McDonalds Gets Cozy for Christmas
For more than 15 years, the Fulton McDonalds restaurant has completely transformed into a themed holiday masterpiece for the month of December as part of an annual holiday decorating competition. This year, the restaurant located at 701 S. Fourth St. became a “cozy Christmas cabin,” a theme thought of and brought to life entirely by restaurant staff.

With Oswego Speedway’s 2017 season schedule moving into its final stages of completion, commitment program renewals for the Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS divisions have been sent to teams as the Speedway continues to move full speed ahead towards the 67th consecutive season of racing at the famed ‘Steel Palace.’
Oswego Volleyballers Split a Pair
Mexico’s serving game proved to be too much for us tonight. We were forced back on our heels a lot in set 1 and then in set 2 and set 3 we started to stage a comeback but fell short. Monday we hosted Central Square and we were able to keep our game moving and we served very well against them.
Making Spirits Bright
Rev. John Hogan, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Oswego, joined parishioners in presenting representatives from the Oswego County Children’s Fund, Inc. and Frederick Leighton Elementary School with a truckload of toys and gifts that St. Mary’s parishioners graciously donated for less fortunate children in Oswego and throughout the county.

This year has been a year of firsts at the Oswego County Legislature. In previous letters, I mentioned some of them. Well here is the biggest first I have seen in the three years I have been on the legislature. This year, the legislature approved budget reduction suggestions that were presented by the Minority Caucus.
Legislators Approve 2017 County Budget
After a brief discussion and a handful of amendments, the Oswego County Legislature unanimously adopted the 2017 budget Thursday night. The county’s 2017 spending plan has a zero increase in the generic tax rate.
Mayor Barlow Issues Travel Advisory in City of Oswego
Mayor William J. Barlow, Jr. has issued a Travel Advisory in the city of Oswego due to heavy snow accumulations and white-out conditions in our immediate area. A “Travel Advisory” means NO unnecessary travel on city streets, and NO parking on city streets between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m.
