The Oswego County Legislature held its August meeting at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse in Pulaski. The annual meeting is in keeping with a decades-old tradition of honoring the county’s heritage as a “half-shire” county.
Ellen Holst, director of Oswego County Opportunities Health and Nutrition Services recently recognized several employees. They were presented with longevity awards for their loyal service to OCO and its consumers.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program
The girls started out very fast and never looked back. Tonight we controlled the floor and the ball very well. The girls all played very well and we had very few errors on our end of the court and as a team we took care of our contacts with the ball.
The Minetto United Methodist Church kitchen will spring to life in a few days as more than 100 parishioners and friends prepare and serve the annual harvest turkey dinner. The dinner is scheduled for October 15, with serving beginning at 4 p.m.
To be held October 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day in the hospital lobby, 110 W. Sixth St., the event features homemade baked goods, and the opportunity to purchase tickets to win some other great prizes including the American Doll, Leah; a collection of women’s accessories from Harbor Towne Gifts, a KitchenAid stand mixer and a gift basket from JP Jewelers in Oswego.
Scott A. Gray, chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators, presented a proclamation honoring Oswego County on its bicentennial and recognizing its rich heritage.

The Fulton Common Council announced a public hearing at Tuesday’s regular meeting regarding an increase in water, sewer and garbage rates scheduled to be held the third Tuesday of this month (Oct 18.) The hearing will take place after the public comment section of the regular meeting starting at 7 p.m. in the Fulton Municipal Building located at 141 South First Street.
