In September, last year, the ASPCA filed a petition with the USDA asking that agency to strengthen its regulations concerning animal breeding facilities, what we all know of as “puppy mills.” While no one wants the practice of puppy milling to continue, in the meantime there are hundreds of them around the country, including right here in Central and Western New York. Current standards of care are so weak that breeders can legally keep dogs in tiny, stacked cages with wire floors that may injure their paws and legs.

DIRTcar Racing announced today (Oct. 6) that NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week will remain at Oswego Speedway in 2017. After 44 years of running NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week at the Moody Mile, Racing’s Biggest Party found a new home at Oswego Speedway in 2016. Advance tickets sales for the 2017 46th Annual Super DIRT Week will begin Friday.
