FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant Begins Refueling To Support Continued Operation

Early this morning, control room operators removed Entergy Corp.’s FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant from service to begin its 22nd refueling and maintenance outage and prepare for continued safe and reliable operation. FitzPatrick had been scheduled to shut down at the end of its current fuel cycle in January 2017 until Exelon Generation agreed to assume ownership and manage operations.

This time, we stayed in Lisbon for a week – no rental car. We used our frequent flyer miles for our air tickets and our IHG points to stay at the Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental. It was centrally located across from the large Parque Eduardo VII.

Five Charged In Oswego Meth Lab Bust

On Thursday, January 12, shortly before 1 p.m., investigators with the Oswego County Drug Task Force, went to 264 George Washington Blvd. (apt B), Oswego, in conjunction with an ongoing methamphetamine investigation. Shortly upon arrival, investigators determined that methamphetamine was allegedly in the process of being manufactured by the occupants of apartment B.
