The sudden onset of life-threatening cancer didn’t stop him. Losing his sight as a result didn’t stop him. The inevitable setbacks and hardships he faced through a challenging recovery still didn’t stop him. As it seems, nothing can stop Tim Conners from “redefining possible.” Surviving cancer was the first obstacle, but Conners’ story is much more than his fight for survival. In fact, that is where his story just begins, he said. MounTimPossible, this Fulton native’s ambitious plan to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to the highest point on the African continent will simultaneously raise money for four organizations that Conners feels saved his life.

Crim Road Fire Claims Two Lives

At about 8:47 a.m. today (Feb. 19), members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a fire on Crim Road in Parish. The caller stated that there was a man yelling from a window that he and his wife were trapped inside. Members arrived on the scene and attempted entry into the residence but were unsuccessful due to heavy smoke and flames. The male victim has been identified, the female victim hasn’t. The investigation is continuing.

Representatives of the farmer-driven Northern New York Agricultural Development Program met with New York State Senate Agriculture Chair Senator Patty Ritchie recently to recognize her support of the regional research and technical assistance program serving Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties.
