That’s why just recently, I was proud to join with my Senate colleagues in approving a measure to help further protect the health of volunteer firefighters who become sick due to the hazards they face while serving their communities.

Pet of the Week – Autumn

Autumn was rescued after three years of fending for herself with the help of an elderly couple who kept her fed. When they had to leave for assisted living, some kind-hearted neighbors called us for help and we took her in. That’s when we found that she has an apparently chronic “sneezing” issue. She has been medicated, checked for polyps, but she still sneezes and snorts a bit, you know like a lot of humans with allergies.

Oswego Hospital Maternity Unit Receives Recognition

The maternity unit at Oswego Hospital was recently recognized as one of the top 25 hospitals in the state for its work in providing vaccinations for hepatitis B. A certificate from the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Immunization Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program was presented to Oswego Hospital staff by the Oswego County Health Department.
