Pet of the Week – Autumn

Autumn

Autumn

OSWEGO – Autumn was rescued from the mean streets of Fulton after three years of fending for herself with the help of an elderly couple who kept her fed.

When they had to leave for assisted living, some kind-hearted neighbors called us for help and we took her in.

That’s when we found that she has an apparently chronic “sneezing” issue.

She has been medicated, checked for polyps, but she still sneezes and snorts a bit, you know like a lot of humans with allergies.

It doesn’t seem to bother her and it won’t bother you if you remember to keep her away from your windows!

She is affectionate toward people, winding around their ankles and squeaking at them when she gets visitors at the OCHS office.

She loves to be combed and petted.

Right now she does not want to be picked up, but we think that is a residual effect from the three weeks that we had to medicate her on a daily basis and she really HATED that.

With patience and time we expect, in all likelihood, she will be right up there on the couch with you.

To be on the safe side we think she should go to a home with no other cats so you don’t have to worry about the “snot” factor.

Please contact the OCHS office during business hours at 315-207-1070 or via email anytime to [email protected] for information on adopting Autumn.
