‘Lessons from Tragedy’ to discuss school safety, preparedness

“Lessons from Tragedy: A Conversation on School Safety and Preparedness” will feature the retired principal of Columbine High School and a survivor of the Virginia Tech shooting who then created a national support foundation, at 5 p.m. March 1, at SUNY Oswego. The event in Room 101 of Lanigan Hall is free and open to the public.

Laker Hockey to Honor National Championship Team

The nationally-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team will host its annual Whiteout Weekend – when fans are encouraged to wear white – on Friday and Saturday, with Saturday’s contest yielding a special celebration. During the first intermission, Oswego will recognize the 10th anniversary of the college’s only team national championship by honoring several 2006-07 teammates on the ice.
