Oswego State men’s ice hockey tops Potsdam in OT
The No. 2/2 Oswego State men’s ice hockey opened Whiteout Weekend in thrilling fashion as a Mitchell Herlihey overtime goal at 1:39 sent the home team past visiting Potsdam 5-4 on Friday night in the Marano Campus Center Arena. With the triumph, the Lakers improve to 16-3-1 overall and 11-1-1 in the SUNYAC.

State Of Emergency Declared In Oswego County
Kevin Gardner, Chairman of the Oswego County Legislature, has declared a State of Emergency in Oswego County beginning at 4:04 p.m. today (Feb. 3) due to heavy lake effect snow occurring in the northern portion of the county. A travel ban for the Redfield-Boylston area in the northeastern part of the county was issued by Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. Todd earlier today due to extreme heavy snow.

Oswego Health Supports American Heart Association’s Little Hats Big Hearts
Oswego Health is expanding its February wear red initiative, which brings awareness to the fact that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, to include this year congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the United States. As is the tradition at Oswego Health, staff members wore the color red to work today, February 3.

Sheriff: No Unnecessary Travel In Redfield-Boylston
Due to extreme heavy snow falling in Redfield-Boylston in the eastern part of Oswego County, Sheriff Reuel Todd has requested no unnecessary travel for those affected areas. More heavy snow is forecast for tonight and tomorrow and into Sunday. Conditions are extremely dangerous.
