Fulton Superintendent Presents First Draft of 2017-18 Budget

Superintendent Brian Pulvino presented his first Fulton City School District official budget draft at a board of education meeting held Monday (March 20) since beginning his position with the district this school year. In it’s earliest draft form, the 2017-2018 school budget totals $70,542,921 showing a $206,421 increase from the 2016-2017 budget, a difference of 0.29 percent.

Legislator Disagrees With NYS Assembly’s Reaction to Nuclear Subsidies

This past summer, the expected closure of the FitzPatrick nuclear facility in Scriba was avoided. All 615 jobs were saved as a result of strong interventions by Governor Andrew Cuomo and his staff. Now, after all of this, New York State Assembly members (and some Senators) from the Downstate New York City and Long Island area are basically saying: “FOUL! We had no say in this!”

Katko: Lake Ontario Nomination For National Marine Sanctuary Accepted By NOAA

U.S. Rep. John Katko today (March 21) applauded action taken by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to move forward the Great Lake Ontario National Marine Sanctuary. NOAA today announced that it had reviewed the southeastern Lake Ontario nomination and accepted it into the inventory of areas that could be considered for designation as a national marine sanctuary in the future.
