Oswego County residents who would like to receive emergency notifications through their wireless phones are reminded to sign up for the Hyper-Reach Broadcast Notification Service through Oswego County’s E 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Department. The Hyper-Reach service is used to notify residents of community alerts and local emergencies.
Continuing the 30-year tradition, “The Living Stations” will be presented at 7 p.m., April 7, in the Fulton Education Center auditorium.

A little communication can go along way in quelling quality of life issues regarding “problems” caused by college students in neighborhoods. At a special meeting Monday night, facilitated by Third Ward Councilor Nate Emmons, college and city officials gathered to discuss college-community relations. About a dozen residents and a handful of city employees attended the meeting.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today (March 13) declared a state of emergency across all 62 counties in New York ahead of the extreme winter storm expected to bring heavy snowfall and high winds. The Governor also directed non-essential state employees impacted by the winter storm to stay home from work on Tuesday without having to charge accruals.
