In a relatively short State of the County address Thursday, the Chairman of the legislature praised legislators for a job well done in 2016 while stressing more needs to be done this year to keep Oswego County headed in a positive direction. “Every one of you (legislators) has made a difference in making Oswego County great. Every one of you stood together and helped,” Chairman Kevin Gardner said. Great things have happened in recent years in Oswego County that have changed the perspective of how local government operates, Gardner added.
On March 7, Calyx A. Estep, 19, was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison and 5 years post-release supervision in Oswego County Court upon his conviction for Robbery in the Second Degree. In January, Estep pleaded guilty and admitted that that he forcibly stole money from the Fulton Savings Bank in Constantia on November 28, 2016.

Ray Bodley High School administration was informed by a student at 8:15 a.m. this morning that another student at GRB made an alleged threatening statement about initiating harm to others at the school,” the letter detailed.

Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School will present the humorous Broadway musical, The Addams Family tonight through Saturday. Based on the characters created by The New Yorker magazine artist Charles Addams, the story centers around young Wednesday Addams who is now grown up.
