YMCA camp programs offer youth fun and unique experiences with an opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime. Summer is the ideal time for kids to get up, get out and explore.

New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and ferrets be vaccinated against rabies. The first rabies vaccine should be given at three months of age. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually.

High water levels on Lake Ontario have prompted flooding concerns across the lake, including the shoreline in Oswego County, Oswego County Director of Emergency Management Dale Currier reported. “Water levels on the lake are very high this spring, and counties along the entire southern shore of the lake west of Oswego have been experiencing issues along their shorelines,” Currier said.

Oswego County residents will be able to safely dispose of unwanted chemicals, pesticides, and other hazardous waste products beginning May 3, at the Oswego County Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility.
