During separate ceremonies for the morning and afternoon sessions, students from each CTE program were recognized for their achievements throughout the school year, including National Technical Honor Society status, industry credential milestones, perfect attendance and principal awards.
The work is starting and Fulton Block Builders are happily writing checks to residents. Audrey and Chuck Avery just finished repairing their side porch and replacing the rotted floor. “Chuck and I have to say that the experience with the Fulton Block Builders was awesome. We were so pleased with Heather, Alyssa, Penny and Linda. We were glad we could obtain the funding for our side porch, which was in desperate need of replacement. All our neighbors who are participating feel the same way about this wonderful organization. We thank FBB so much and look forward to working with them in the future,” said Audrey.
A unanimous decision by the Fulton City School District Board of Education will allow district leaders to move forward with the implementation of a new course at the high school. Seminar, a graded half credit course, will be held every other day for 40 minutes following similar guidelines of a former advisory program in which students meet with one teacher for the duration of their four years. The course will be implemented for incoming ninth and tenth grade students in its first year although the goal of district officials is to eventually phase it in for all grade levels at G. Ray Bodley High School.
The state’s mobile command vehicle will assist people impacted by the Lake Ontario flooding at the state Department of Transportation’s maintenance facility at 5846 Scenic Ave. (Route 3), Mexico, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates:

Pam Caraccioli, deputy to the SUNY Oswego president for external partnerships and economic development, this spring earned two honors: a regional award for accomplished and community-minded women and a statewide board membership. State Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, named Caraccioli a 2017 Woman of Distinction, an honor that the senator bestows “recognizing outstanding leaders who are achieving success in their careers, devoting time to volunteer causes in their communities and more.”
The Arts Center celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Carol Burnett show with a full evening of favorite comedy sketches from the popular show. Auditions are being held at the Arts Center Theatre on the Cayuga College Campus June 17 from 1-5 p.m. and June 19 from 6-9 p.m.
