County Legislature Pronounced Dairy Month In June

Harborfest 2017 had a great run this past weekend. “We had fantastic crowds. The entertainment was great and the weather was fantastic all weekend long,” Pete Myles, executive director, said. Plans are now getting started for Harborfest 2018. Here is a look back at just a few of the sights from Harborfest 2017.
Larry Wight was a man on a mission Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway as he totally dominated the 35-lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified feature. Wight, started 10th and would only need 4-laps to take the lead. Once out front there was no slowing down Wight as he won by over four-seconds at the checkers for his fourth win in 2017.
Following a four-week long stretch of racing in the month of July which saw Novelis Supermodified and Pathfinder Bank SBS points leaders Dave Shullick Jr. and Dave Cliff extend their advantage approaching the championship homestretch in the month of August. Oswego Speedway will return to action on August 5.
Hundred of youngsters, their friends and families, marched from Breitbeck Park to the Novelis Family Park (West Park) on Friday in idyllic weather. The annual Children’s Parade is considered by many to be the official start of Harborfest. The parade drew an unofficial throng estimated at more than 1,000 participants, from infants to adults.
