With a focus on its impact area of ending hunger United Way of Greater Oswego County will hold its 12th Annual Stone Soup Luncheon November 9 at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 240 W. First St. in Oswego from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. United Way’s Stone Soup Luncheon helps to stock the shelves of Oswego County’s food pantries that provide food for thousands of hungry families and individuals.

In recent years, great strides have been made in the areas of early detection and treatment of breast cancer. In addition, many women diagnosed with the disease are living long and healthy lives. During October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, women are encouraged to consult with their health care providers to learn more about the disease and develop a proactive plan for breast cancer screening because in many cases, early detection can save lives.
