Fulton City School District students in grades four through six are moving toward a healthier lifestyle. Chris Ells, FCSD director of health, physical education and athletics, said that is because all students at those grade levels now receive 40 minutes of physical education three times each week, as 120 weekly minutes of PE is required by the New York State Education Department.
To better understand the new approach, Fulton City School District teachers recently collaborated with colleagues from the Oswego City School District to receive a Smithsonian Science for the Classroom units’ two-day training, facilitated at the Fulton Education Center by OCM BOCES Project-based Learning Teacher Trainer and Instructional Coach Holly Baldwin.

Joseph Ritz, 55, of Oswego died Tuesday December 26, 2017, in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
Neva P. Catalano, 97, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, Monday December 25, 2017, at Morningstar Residential Center, Oswego.
