Planetarium’s February Shows To Look At Astronomy Within Literature

The SUNY Oswego planetarium will host “Astronomical Subjects in the Works of Dante, Swift and Verne: Old and New Cosmologies” at 7 p.m. every Sunday during January. The show will explore astronomical subjects in Dante’s “Divine Comedy,” Jonathan Swift’s “Gulliver’s Travels” and Jules Verne’s “From Earth to the Moon and Around It.”

Oswego Eyes Fee For Use Of Breitbeck Park

Couples looking to celebrate their weddings in Oswego’s Breitbeck Park are likely going to be hit with a fee. At Tuesday night’s Administrative Services Committee meeting, councilors gave a favorable recommendation to a request by Tom Kells, DPW commissioner, to approve a charge a per hour fee for use of Breitbeck Park (non-pavilion area) for weddings.

‘Leapin’ Lizards!’ Quirk’s Players to Stage Annie

Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School is proud to announce that it will present Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin’s classic Broadway musical Annie. Performances are scheduled for March 8, 9 and 10 in the Bodley auditorium. Curtain time is set for 7:30 each evening. Additionally there will be a 2 p.m. matinee on March 10.
