The Central Square School District is asking the community for nominations for this year’s Wall of Distinction. The CSSD Wall of Distinction was established in spring of 2015, for the purpose of recognizing and honoring graduates and staff members of Central Square School District.
The Oswego Players have announced a slate of six new shows for 2018 to help celebrate its 80th anniversary season. Since the group was founded in 1938 the Oswego Players have carried on a tradition of producing several productions a year including dramas, mysteries, comedies, musicals and children’s theater.
Nathan Summerville of Fulton is slated to graduate in 2018 from G Ray Bodley High School and has been accepted into the mechanical engineering technology (BS) program.
The seventh annual Family Fun Snow Day will kick off from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. January 27 at CNY Arts Center located on the Cayuga College Fulton Campus at 11 River Glen Drive. The snow themed day of carnival games, prizes, arts and crafts and plenty of hot chocolate traditionally kicks off on the last Saturday in January.
Anyone who purchases a Lions Loot Ticket between Jan. 15 – Feb. 15 will receive a dozen roses for free. The Fulton Lions Club’s second and final “Lions Loot” sweepstakes Early Bird drawing will be drawn at the Feb. 1 board meeting. A total of five names will be drawn for the prize of $100 each.
The Vanderkamp Center, Cleveland, will hold dinner dance fundraiser on February 10 from 6 – 11 p.m. Though Vanderkamp will not be holding a Fire and Ice Festival this year, with winter remaining so unpredictable in Central New York, we opted to keep the theme for this February fundraising event.

Part Time Honors are to recognize students who earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credits of course work. It stands alongside the college’s Dean’s List and President’s List as the top awards given for academic success at the college.
The Next Great Idea Oswego County Business Plan Competition has extended its deadline for entries to March 1, a month past the original deadline. The business plan competition is open to all entrepreneurs with a new business concept and existing businesses looking to add a new product or service.
