In an email to agency partners, Travelers Insurance Regional Sales Director Marcus Reidell recently named Oswego Valley Insurance Agencies as winner of its “Western & Central New York Key Agency Partner of the Year” award for 2017.
SUNY Oswego biochemistry majors Kaitlyn McCue and Christina Li will present at the college’s annual Quest symposium Wednesday, April 4, their research on a correlation of mosquito-borne diseases — dengue, chikungunya and zika — and patient markers for stress preceding illness.

A gateway landscaping project will enhance the entrances into the city, the mayor said. Improvements will extend from Hillside Ave. up to Third Ave. on the west side. An exhibition titled “Filtered Through the Garden: Photographs by James Kraus” will run March 30 through June 1 at Oswego State Downtown, SUNY Oswego’s gallery and store at the corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego. A free public reception for the artist — an alumnus of SUNY Oswego — will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. April 6, at Oswego State Downtown as part of the college’s Downtown Artists Series.
