While the fifth grade classes at Oswego’s Kingsford Park and San Antonio, Texas’ Windcrest elementary schools may be thousands of miles apart, a collaborative distance learning program in the Oswego City School District is connecting students with peers anywhere in the world.
For the third year in a row, Oswego Speedway has earned the decorated distinction of being honored for having the ‘Best Track/Series Social Media’ in all of short track racing for 2017.
We were in Galveston in January and the sea winds were blowing… and blowing. We were looking forward to walking along the beach but it was just too windy. Unfortunately we were there during the Arctic Vortex which put the south in a deep freeze. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort where the swimming pool was heated and while some kids went in and seemed to disregard the weather, it was just too chilly and windy for me.

The “Make It Happen 20k Race Series” combines the traditional 5k races of the Oswego County Autism Task Force, Oswego Little League, Oswego Health Foundation, and the Buc Boosters, into a new 20k series.

At 3:14 p.m. on Thursday March 8, sheriff’s deputies arrested Martha L. Matteson, 36, of US Route 11, Bldg. 5240, Apt. 1, Pulaski, for Use of a Child in Sexual Performance, a class C felony and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor.
There will be four start times, one for each age group. 10 a.m. for ages 3-5. There will be a special section roped-off for toddlers, 2 years old or younger, to hunt for bigger eggs.
11 a.m. for ages 6-8.
noon for ages 9-11.
1 p.m.- for any age child with special needs.
